"Breakfast like a king, lunch like a Lord and dine like a pauper!" So the adage goes. Here at Ridgeway Lodge we can offer a breakfast fit for a king, with plenty of choice, individually cooked to order, and at a time to suit you, between 7.30 and 9 am.
Cereals, porridge, yogurt, a trio of fresh fruit and fruit juice are offered. (sometimes our own pressed apple juice is available). Try our homemade preserves - marmalade, lemon curd and jams, with croissants, and/or a variety of bread and toast. A choice of coffees, teas and chocolate rounds things off nicely.
We use local, outdoor reared pork for bacon and sausages. Free-range eggs cooked in four different ways are provided by a friend's hens when in lay, mushrooms, fresh Aga-baked tomatoes, hash browns, baked beans and black pudding complete the available options.
Veggie 'bacon', vegetarian sausages and home-made vegetarian patties* are available as an alternative.
For early risers, an earlier breakfast can be prepared for you, and would comprise fruit, juice, cereals, yogurt, croissants and/or bread to toast, with a choice of coffees, teas and hot chocolate.
Breakfast is usually taken in the annex dining area, but can be on the patio in the summer, with wide views south towards West Wycombe- if the weather allows!
