An offer of accommodation is subject to availability at the time of booking.
To confirm the reservation, full payment for the first night is required in advance.
Sometimes, due to time constraints a payment is not paid, but, whether or not a deposit is paid, the booking, when confirmed by letter or email, is a legally binding contract and all accommodation charges become payable if the reservation is cancelled with less than 7 days' notice.
We do not take credit or debit cards. The deposit/payment is to be made by cheque or BACS bank transfer, for which some banks may charge. Any balance due is payable by cash or personal cheque on departure.
If a booking is cancelled more than 7 days in advance, any payment will be refunded, less a 10% administration fee, or the opportunity to rebook at a later date will be offered.
If you do need to cancel, please contact us immediately. A telephone call is still the easiest and simplest way to contact us. It is more personal and we can give immediate help and advice.
Our accommodation is very flexible but if we can’t accommodate you ourselves, or what we have is unsuitable for you, we can often help you find somewhere else to stay.
We know many of our guests visit family and friends who live locally, which is great, but in the interests of security, Health and Safety and Fire Insurance requirements, unless you have arranged so with us beforehand, you cannot bring non-paying family, friends or colleagues into the accommodation.
Our two rescue cats are not used to dogs on the premises, so we regret that only assistance dogs can be accommodated, then only by prior arrangement.
Guests with assistance dogs will be accommodated in the ground floor rooms wherever possible.
Well-behaved children are always welcome, but they are and remain, the Parents' sole responsibility. Please telephone to discuss the most suitable accommodation available if you want to bring children. Children over 12 are classified as adult for the purposes of cost.
Non-availability: Your booking would only be cancelled by Ridgeway Lodge if the accommodation became unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would then attempt to find you alternative accommodation, but if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then all monies paid by you would be refunded. Our liability will not extend beyond this refund.
Damages and Breakages: Please take care with our accommodation.Responsiblity and liability for any breakages or damages lies with the guest.
Please report any damage as soon as it occurs. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant and we have not been informed.
Liability: We do not accept liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party, any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or agents acting on our instruction.
